Fire detection and alarm systems

Projects – Customer Service – Reactive Remedials

Fire safety is becoming one of our stronger sectors. With level 3 certified engineers in fire detection & alarm systems and our continuous product training we are confident to offer reliable services. Following guidance of bs 5839, 2017. as recommended as part of the required structure of in order to conform with the building regulations.

Types of Fire Detection

Point detection

Point Detection is the single unit peripheral which triggers the control panel to action. input devices. ie smoke/heat detectors, co2 detector, manual call point, input interface device. as any product installations.. to ensure the life expectancy and best functionality of the product there would require a trained installers discretion to decide upon the final location of the point detection.

Aspirator smoke detection

Aspirator smoke detection

ASD. Aspirator smoke detection is usually installed in high level areas or where it may be difficult to access for future maintenance.
When installed and commissioned correctly and in line with FIA code of practice for ASD installations, These systems can be maintained from a low level or safe place or even self maintain.

beam detector

Fire Beams

These optical beam smoke detectors are commonly used within the highest points of buildings or areas where access for maintenance may be difficult. Fire beams are designed to cover larger areas of up 80m. There are many environmental aspects to consider when installing fire beam detectors to ensure the avoidance of false alarm.

Linear heat detection cable

LHDC. Linear Heat Detection Cable is another form of technology which is usually used in difficult to access areas. usually in which the environment may contain elements of false alarm, ie may have a high volume of dust particles where optical detection or ASD may not be most practical application.

Over 35 years experience in installation and maintenance on a wide variety of different manufacturers products of fire detection and alarm systems.

Inaccessible emergency systems

Extra Care is taken to ensure all of our disabled emergency systems are installed in line with the recommendations of BS 9999 & BS 5839, part 9. As these systems are designed for the inaccessible and can be regarded as part of the fire strategy and evacuation plan. Our engineers have experience with and are familiar with most common systems on the market ie Baldwin, Commend, Quantec and Ctec.

Disabled refuge

Systems specifically designed for the hard of mobility occupants in a building to call for help on stairway landings in case of emergency evacuation occurs.

Disabled toilet alarms

Systems for a disabled person to call for help in emergency situations when alone in the disabled toilet facility.
